New
look for ADELs web site
-
Its Doctrine Land Warfare Development Centre
ADEL
Online has been redesigned and upgraded. The new look of the website
has been launched and can now be accessed at adelonline.defence.gov.au
ADELs
new format is designed to be user-friendly. The index of publications
is arranged in a tree structure, with cascading headings built in
to assist users familiar with the Doctrine Hierarchy to find the
doctrine publications they require.
A significant
difference with the new ADEL Online is the removal of obsolete Australian
Army doctrine from the site. ADEL Online will make available current
Australian Army doctrine and a selection of joint, allied and miscellaneous
publications. Users seeking information from obsolete Army doctrine
publications will, in future, need to access them via the Centre
for Army Lessons at http://lwdc.sor.defence.gov.au/cal
In
parallel with the launch of the new ADEL Online site, ADEL 2003
is currently being pressed and is expected to be distributed in
the next six weeks.
ADEL
2003 will contain four CDs and features the same design as the new
ADEL Online. It will contain all the publications that are in the
online library on the date of pressing.
Information
on Army doctrine (including how to access doctrine in hard copy
via the Defence Publishing Service) can be found at the Doctrine
Wing homepage at lwdc.sor.defence.gov.au/doctrine/
General
queries relating to ADEL Online and the ADEL 2003 CD edition should
be directed via e-mail to adel@defence.gov.au or via the feedback
mechanism located on the website.
