Athletics
THE ADF Running and Athletics Association will conduct the 2003 State Teams Half Marathon Championship in conjunction with the Canberra Half Marathon on Sunday, May 18. Australian football
THE Combined Services Football Club plays in the Top End Australian Football Association (TEAFA) Wet Season competition in Darwin. Combined finished third in the competition last season and won the Flag the season before. We are looking for players/coaches/trainers/runners and waterboys of all skill levels to start pre-season in June this year. Navy/Army/RAAF/Civilians and families are more than welcome down the club that trains on Tuesday and Thursday with games mostly on Sundays. Bodybuilding
THE 6th annual ADF Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Titles will be held at HMAS Cerberus on June 23, featuring divisions for all ADF permanent and Reserve personnel and Defence civilians. As an amateur event, beginners are encouraged. Golf
THE Central Region Military Golf Championships will be conducted July 13-15 at the Vines Golf Club, Reynella over 72 holes. Entry fee is $45, which includes all green fees and presentations. Hockey

Shooting

CANBERRA District Army Rifle Association invites all Steyr-qualified soldiers, sailors and airmen, regular or reserve, to come and develop their core skill in an atmosphere of friendly competition at the Duntroon WTSS facility on the first pay day of every month except January. Soccer
THE Australian Combined Services Soccer Association has selected its coaching/management staff for the men’s and women’s ADF teams. The successful candidates are: men’s coach – PO Peter Ritchie, men’s manager – Capt Terry Bell, women’s coach – ASO3 Gerard Harkins, women’s manager – CPO Garry Lucas, women’s trainer – WO2 Andi Watts.

Tenpin Bowling

The ADF Tenpin Bowling Association will be conducting its annual Nationals Tournament June 23-27. State reps are requested to organise your individual state’s Inter-Service competition.
