Description:
This Series 2 patch was worn by members of Defence Centre
– Brisbane (Army Component). This unit has been amalgamated
into Service Delivery - Southern Queensland.
The patch base colours are based on the joint service colours

Description:
This Series 1 colour patch was originally worn by members
of the 2nd Light Horse Regiment in WW1.
ARTC

Description:
This Series 2 is worn by members of ARTC, formerly 1RTB.
The patch base colours are based on the Army Headquarters
Schools Series I patch colours.

The
1st Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles, will be the British
Army unit to take part in major Field Force exercises
in NSW in November.
The Royal Ulster Rifles will take part in a counter-insurgency
exercise with 1st Division troops.
Commanded by Lt-Col C.W.B.Purdon, it will fly from the
UK early in November and remain here for six weeks. |
The
Chief of the General Staff, Lt-Gen Mervyn Brogan, told
guests at the final graduation parade of National Servicemen
from the Officer Training Unit, Scheyville, that it was
hard to convince people that the days of instant armies
were gone.
Speaking on the future of the Army, Lt-Gen Brogan said
most people conceded that a standing Army was necessary. |
