Army members interested in a career as an Army pilot will find the application and selection process more user friendly following the establishment of a dedicated Army Aviation Recruiting Liaison Cell within Army Headquarters.

Easing your way out

The decision to separate from the ARA is one of the most significant in your career.
Once that decision is made, the separation process is initiated completing an AC853, Application for Resignation, Discharge or Transfer to the Reserves.

Separating from loved ones in the course of duty is always a big call. All of us have to do it.
Sometimes, it’s very easy, because the separation isn’t for long and we might well be going somewhere great and we know what’s going on.
Other times, it’s quite difficult, because the separation might be for quite a long time and we might be going into a situation that we haven’t experienced before, and we don’t know what’s going to happen.
