The ADF Hockey Association entered three teams in the World Masters Games in Melbourne from October 5-13, 2002 – a men’s over-30s and over-40s and women’s over-30s.

After plenty of action, the two men’s teams finished eighth in the respective divisions, while the women made it to the bronze medal playoff.

The ADF women had the majority of play but couldn’t find the back of the goal and with 12 minutes to go, their opponents scored against the run of play, finishing with a 1-0 scoreline and fourth place overall.

All players are now looking forward to the 9th Australian Masters Games in Canberra in October.
