Tigers
roar to victory
CSIG
Tigers roared to victory in the ADF touch competition held recently
at RMC, Canberra.
The
Tigers, consisting of CSIG and Defence members, were ranked at odds
greater than 500 to 1, however persisted in their endeavours to
be a competitive team.
At
the end of the season the CSIG Tigers finished second on the ladder
and made it to the finals. However, losing the first round of finals
was a set-back.
Unfazed,
the Tigers fought back to reach the grand final and meet the Bush
Pigs, who were rated as even money at the beginning of the season.
The
big grand final day loomed and spectators and pom-pom girls screamed
with delight at the dazzling display of touch football.
The
game was fought on a hard battleground and after 40 minutes of sweat
and toil the Tigers put the Pigs to rest. Final score 5-4.
