Keep clean
DRUG usage, including steroids, will not be tolerated in the Army - this is the stern message to soldiers from senior commanders. Recent investigation has shown some members of the Army have been using anabolic steroids for reasons including bulking up for strength and stamina, personal esteem and to recover quickly from injury.
Stay Army web site hits the Web
THE Stay Army web site has been deemed a resounding success and will soon be available via the web, according to Site Manager Maj Al Armstrong.
Global slump hits MSBS
The Military Superannuation and Benefits Scheme (MSBS) has announced a negative crediting rate of negative 8.9 per cent for the 2001-02 financial year.
The poor result is because of a volatile global investment climate over the past year for superannuation funds, including the MSBS.
Outside employment policy reminder
MEMBERS of the ADF have always been able to engage in paid employment or undertake voluntary activities outside the Defence Force in off-duty hours; however, policy guidelines are not always followed.
Bushmaster gets green light to
proceed

PROJECT Bushranger is going ahead under a revised contract that will produce 299 Bushmaster vehicles for use by the Australian Army.
