Cup up for grabs
All ADF personnel, including reserves and APS, are invited to take part in the 2007 Albatross Nirimba Cup 7s soccer competition. The competition will take place at Randwick Barracks on July 30. King of the mountain
It’s not Bathurst but the pride of Navy’s runners from the Navy Running Association will take on the best from Nowra Athletics Club in the King of the Mountain foot race on Sunday, July 15. This is a challenging 32km course which will take runners from Cambewarra Village to Kangaroo Valley via Mount Scanzi, mainly on quiet gravel back roads.


Navy seeks its best

Navy has issued the call to its best squash players in the ACT to help wrest the crown from Air Force in the looming 2007 ACT men’s and women’s inter-Service competition. The titles will be held at the ADFA gymnasium on July 25 and 26. As an approved ADF sport, a minimum level of medical fitness for nominees is MEC207. All nominees must be in date for their respective service physical fitness tests. Kayakers all at sea
The Australian White Water Association’s next series of kayaking development modules towards the Sea Skills Award Course is open to all employees of Department of Defence which will be held in late-July-August. Sessions will be held at the ADFA Boatshed on July 30, and August 2, 6 and 9. Prospective course attendees are asked to register their interest by July 26.
