Personnel honoured

CDF fosters bilateral relations

CN conference in ACT
The next Chief of Navy Leadership Conference will be held at Rydges Canberra Hotel from August 30 to September 1. Nominations are now sought for the 200-seat venue.
New ADF structure
The new Defence organisational structure will reflect the three quite different sets of roles and responsibilities that need to interact to deliver results to Government. Included in the structure are some important new appointments.
Two per cent pay rise
The ADF Enterprise Productivity Arrangement 1999-2002 has delivered a two per cent increase to ADF members with effect from July 6 2000. The figures include the roll of residual recreation leave bonus for personnel up to CAPT (E) where applicable.
WALLER to the forefront
HMAS WALLER has experienced a busy first half of 2000 culminating in ASWEX, Exercise RIMPAC and Lungfish 2000 in Pearl Harbor. The year started with an AMP at Fleet Base West, including three and a half weeks out of the water for hull valve rectification.
Seventh ANZAC class ship launched
The seventh ANZAC class ship built by Tenix Defence Systems has been launched at Williamstown, Victoria. The ship, PARRAMATTA, was launched by Mrs Jill Green. The name honours the three previous PARRAMATTAs that have served with distinction in the RAN.
