Volunteers called for leave study
Volume

The experience of parents in the Navy taking parental and/or maternity leave is the focus of a study by researchers at the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney.
Volunteers, both male and female, who have had children while serving in the Navy are required for the study. This will involve initial email interviews and potential for face-to-face interviews.
It is hoped that from the sample of volunteers the experience of men and women as parents and also as serving members of the Navy will be better understood. Although the study is examining the use of parental leave, it is understood that other forms of leave may also be used upon the birth of a child.
