NUSHIP Perth will become the eighth, and final, Anzac Class frigate to join the Navy when she commissions in Fremantle on August 26. Perth’s commissioning will draw the curtain on one of the most successful Naval ship building projects in Australia. One of the hallmarks of the Anzac Ship Project has been the delivery of the ships on time and on budget.
Tenix has constructed 10 Anzac Class frigates, eight for the RAN and two for the Royal New Zealand Navy.

The RAN took delivery of NUSHIP Perth on June 16. This followed the successful completion of sea trials in March. More recently, NUSHIP Perth has been undergoing Mariner Skills Evaluation trials off the coast of Victoria as the ship’s company have been getting used to their brand new ship. The crew has also been quick to integrate themselves into the community. NUSHIP Perth’s CSO sub-department recently raised $2500 for the Australian Red Cross.
