Battle of Forces
Make sure you tune into the Seven network each Saturday in December
and the first Saturday in January to see the fantastic footage from the
recent 'Battle of the Forces'.
The show will air from 12.30pm, with series producer John Bay saying the
footage will make a sensational series. The first show will feature the
HMAS STIRLING episode, so tune to see the ADF in action.
WATSON Biathlon
One of the best locations for a biathlon anywhere would have to be
the scenic surrounds of HMAS WATSON for the 2000 WATSON Biathlon on Thursday,
December 7 at 1pm.
There's a short course event (500m swim and 5km run) or long course (500m
swim and 5km run by two), with categories for WATSON male and female,
open male and female, veterans and team. Cost is $15 for non-WATSON personnel
or $10 for WATSON personnel, with limited event shirts and gifts to the
first entries, closing on November 30.

Sailing regatta
The 10th annual ADF Sailing Association regatta will be held on Sydney
Harbour from December 5-10, with interested Defence and civilian personnel
invited to register. Note, conditions apply for civilians.
Prizes and trophies are up for grabs, while service accommodation and
transport to regatta site is also available.

ASAFA AGM
Nominations for positions on the executive of the Australian Services
Australian Football Association (ASAFA) are called for prior to the annual
general meeting in Canberra on December 15.
President CAPT Geoff Ledger RAN is stepping down, with the following positions
vacant: president, secretary, treasurer, president Navy, president Army,
president Air Force.
