Tourists from Israel, Holland, Japan, the US and Scotland were among the 520 visitors to HMAS MELBOURNE last month.

Always in excellent condition the 4,100 tonne FFG had extra sparkle thanks to her recent multi-million dollar re-fit.

The duty watch of 50, led by LCDR Mark McConnell, conducted open house from 1pm to 4pm.

"Our people fielded questions about recruiting. There was a lot of interest," he said.
