High regard

New life for ships

Taking Strain
Two lengths of giant chain to upgrade naval moorings was delivered to HMAS STIRLING. One of the chains, delivered by Perth company Jeyco Mooring and Rigging, comprised 73cm long links weighing 220 kilograms each, with a total weight of 8.2 tonnes.
Securing the north

Divers prepared for three years

Lengthy service honoured
Senior Configuration Inspector Mr John Miles retired on November 8 after almost 40 years service with the Department of Defence. After joining in April 1961, John served as storeman at the RAN stores at Woolloomooloo, Garden Island and Bunnerong.
