Ramp ceremony at RAAF Base Amberley
A Ramp Ceremony for Lance Corporal Stjepan ‘Rick’ Milosevic from the 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment, Sapper James Martin from the 2nd Combat Engineer Regiment and Private Robert Poate from the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment was conducted at RAAF Base Amberley on Wednesday, 5 September 2012.
Lance Corporal Milosevic, Sapper Martin and Private Poate were killed while serving with the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment Task Group in an insider attack at Patrol Base Wahab in the Baluchi Valley region of Uruzgan Province on the evening of 29 August 2012.
The three soldiers were received by members of the Australian Army, led by Chief of Army, Lieutenant General David Morrison, AO and Commander of the 7th Brigade, Brigadier Greg Bilton and the Milosevic, Martin and Poate families.
