2nd Health Support Battalion as part of Exercise Hamel 2010
Members of 2nd Health Support Battalion (2HSB) participate in a mass casualty event as part of Exercise Hamel 2010.
Seven members of 2HSB needed emergency treatment after a simulated IED attack on their Unimog.
They were treated at the scene before being evacuated to Camp McAliney, where the Battalion’s new Field Hospital was ready to receive them.
The mass casualty event was designed to test not only the members of 2HSB, but to evaluate the Field Hospital before it is used in active service.
