Exercise Eastern Endeavour

An AP-3C Orion from RAAF Base Edinburgh deployed to the Republic of Korea from the 13th to 14th October, to provide over-head maritime support for Exercise Eastern Endeavour. An 11 Squadron Crew practiced handover/takeover procedures in a multi-national environment with Navy personnel from the United States and the Republic of Korea.

Exercise Eastern Endeavour is a Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) maritime interdiction exercise, which was hosted by the Republic of Korea in the south-eastern port city of Busan. There are currently 96 member countries in the Proliferation Security Initiative committed to cooperating practically to stop illicit trafficking in weapons of mass destruction-related materials and their delivery systems.
