Students on the tour are all current year 11 Scholarship recipients and were selected from around 150 applicants for the tour. The aim of the Scholarship program is to provide a financial incentive for years 11 and 12 students to remain in school and undertake subjects that will better prepare them for ADF Technical Trade entry as well as provide information on technical trades in the ADF . Year 11 students receive $2000 whilst Year 12 receive $3000, paid over two semesters.
