Defence Jobs Northern Territory AFL Carnival
Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) is proud to have again been the sponsor for the AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) Defence Jobs Carnival in Darwin over the weekend of 01-03 October 2010.
DFR has been the exclusive naming rights sponsor for the Carnival since 2007.
“It has been fantastic to once again be part of this outstanding event,” Flight Lieutenant Zak Sherwood, Senior Military Recruiting Officer for Darwin, said.
“We have seen a great display football over the weekend, with players showcasing fitness, teamwork and courage, all characteristics that are highly valued by the Australian Defence Forces.
“We look forward to further opportunities to engage with the teams during the AFLNT season and promoting the many opportunities available in the Navy, Army and Air Force.”
Defence has a strong sporting element, underpinning its healthy, fit lifestyle.
The Carnival is a round robin series launching the football season for the Top End through a high profile event showcasing football talent from across the NT.
The ADF offers a number of unique challenges, opportunities and adventures for young Australians and has many different and rewarding careers available.
