A group of 13 young women from across New South Wales have toured Defence bases in Sydney this week as part of a pilot education program.
The visits to Navy, Army and Air Force establishments aim to raise the students' awareness of the work/lifestyle of the Australian Defence Force while showcasing career options.
Participants came from Blayney, Bathurst, Brewarrina, Condobolin, Canowindra, and Blacktown for the event, which included a tour of HMAS Collins, leadership and teamwork training at Holsworthy Army base and briefings and displays at RAAF Base Richmond.
