The Defence Community Organisation (DCO) Amberley, in partnership with Ipswich City Council, for the second year, hosted a National Families Week event on Saturday 15 May 2010. The Family Fun Day was held at Queens Park in Ipswich between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
The day was an opportunity to showcase the lifestyle, activities and facilities available at RAAF Amberley and in the Ipswich area, for Defence members, their families and the local community. The Family Fun Day included static displays by Defence and community groups, a jumping castle, face painting, a rock climbing wall, Life-Be-In-It activities, sausage sizzle, the RAAF Amberley Brass Band, and much more.
