Indigenous women teach soldiers Bush-tucker techniques on Top End Survival Course

Indigenous women from the Daly River community in the Northern Territory have visited infantry soldiers and NORFORCE patrolmen on a survival course in a remote Top End region to share their knowledge on Australian bush tucker.

Four generations of the McTaggart family visited the course with freshly caught turtles, a kangaroo, bush yams and damper, to explain hunting and gathering techniques and demonstrate methods of cooking in the bush.
