Exercise Bersama Shield 2010
Exercise Bersama Shield has challenged the personnel of 75 Squadron to conduct a joint military operation with regional powers.
More than 59 military aircraft, 19 warships and 2500 personnel are participating in this annual exercise which is being conducted by the Five Power Defence Arrangement (FPDA) over the Malaysian peninsula and the South China Sea during 26 April and 7 May.
The exercise has challenged the F/A-18 pilots to test their skills and the technologies of their F/A-18 aircraft against dissimilar aircraft types and tactics operated by FPDA member nations.
75 Squadron, which is based are RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory, has a long affiliation with Butterworth Air Base where it was based from 1966 to 1988.
