Formula One Grand Prix Army and Air Force displays

A Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18 Hornet jet, two Australian Black Hawk helicopters, and the RAAF Roulettes Aerobatic team make up a high-tech group of Australian Defence Force airborne assets, on display at the [Qantas] 2010 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park, Melbourne.

A 10-minute display by each of the Defence Force airborne assets highlights the flying skills and operational hardware of the Defence Force.

On static display, a spectacularly modified 1978 Ford LTD (Project Digger) showcases the latest recruiting attraction constructed by Trainee mechanics from the Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from Albury-Woodonga.

This accompanies the interactive Defence Force Recruiting careers display with a specially built Holden Maloo Ute including plasma screens, interactive gaming pods and state of the art sound system.

The Australian Defence Force provided support to the Australian (Formula 1 Grand Prix since its inception and is currently, the only country providing military displays in support of the Formula 1 Grand Prix racing calendar
