The President offered a gift of a silver plate to MAJ Wright from the Botswana Defense Force. He was offered an Australian Slouch Hat as a gift in return from MAJ Wright..

President Khama is in Australia on the invitation of the Governor-General of Australia, Her Excellency Quentin Bryce AC, as a result of her visit to the Republic of Botswana in March last year.
