HMAS STUART hosts disadvantaged children whilst in Pakistan
On Friday 26 February, children from the Family Educational Services School for Deaf Children visited HMAS STUART (CMDR Andrew Masters) during her port visit to Karachi, Pakistan. The children, teachers and staff were welcomed on board HMAS STUART by CHAP Col Acton and an enthusiastic team of volunteers. The group’s visit began with a hearty ‘Steel Deck’ BBQ lunch and a can of soft drink. Following the meal, the children were separated into groups and began to move through four activities that had been set up by the STUART visit team. Each of the interactive activities were carefully designed to maximise the educational experience for the children.
