ADFA Appointment Ceremony - Melbourne

35 high school graduates from Canberra and Southern NSW today started their training as Officers in the Australian Defence Force at a ceremony in Adams Hall at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA).

The young men and women participated in an Appointment Ceremony for the ADFA, before being farewelled by family and friends to commence their studies in Canberra.

As Officer Cadets, they will spend the next three to four years undertaking academic studies at ADFA for degrees in areas including Business, Science, Arts and Engineering through the University of New South Wales.

Their schedule will also include military studies and training in their chosen service of Navy, Army or Air Force.
