ADFA Cadet appointment in Sydney
Nearly 40 high school graduates from New South Wales today started their training as Officers in the Australian Defence Force at a ceremony at Victoria Barracks in Sydney.
The young men and women participated in an Appointment Ceremony for the Australian Defence Force Academy, before being farewelled by family and friends for their journey to the campus in Canberra.
As Officer Cadets, they will spend the next three to four years undertaking academic studies at ADFA for degrees in areas including Business, Science, Arts and Engineering through the University of New South Wales.
Their schedule will also include military studies and training in their chosen service of Navy, Army or Air Force.
They are paid to study, have their tuition fees and textbooks paid for by the Australian Defence Force, enjoy a fantastic lifestyle, and graduate with a guaranteed job in the Navy, Army or Air Force.
