Air Force Chief meets Defence Families Australia
In February each year, the DFA National Delegates come together in Canberra for a week of professional training. This provides opportunity to step through the challenges of Defence living, and discussion of current issues that affect families with the relevant departments within Defence and Government.
This year, they were most honoured to enjoy the engaging company of Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal (AIRMSHL) Mark Binskin, AM, who took the time out of his busy schedule to welcome the new DFA team. AIRMSHL Binskin talked informally with the delegates about his own Defence family and the issues that other Defence families face, even managing to resolve an ongoing communications challenge that was discussed at the table, by the following morning!
