Longest serving airman aircrew member in the Air Force
The longest serving airman aircrew member in the Air Force, Warrant Officer (WOFF) Rudy Mech, retires in February 2010 after 42 years in the RAAF. Initially joining as an Airfield Defence Guard, WOFF Mech re-rolled as a gunner on UH-1 Iroquois and later a loadmaster on C-130 Hercules.
