Army members deploying on Operation HERRICK

A farewell parade was held for 15 members of the Army’s 1st Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery, forming the Royal Australian Artillery Troop Afghanistan – 6 (RAA Tp AFG-6) who are deploying on Operation HERRICK.

The parade was held at Gallipoli Barracks Enoggera and reviewed by Commander of the 7th Brigade, Brigadier Paul McLachlan, ADC.

The soldiers will travel to the United Kingdom for specialised training with the 7th (Parachute), Royal Horse Artillery (7 Para, RHA) at Colchester before deploying with their British counterparts for service in Afghanistan.
