Australian Defence Force members participate in initial stages for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo to be held in Sydney
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of the world’s most celebrated entertainment attractions. It is a military spectacle performed by Commonwealth and international bands and display teams in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo has only toured outside of Scotland on three occasions, in 2000, 2005 and 2010. In 2005 the Edinburgh Military Tattoo toured Australia and in 2010 it is back in Australia by popular demand.
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo celebrates 60 years in 2010 and the theme for the event is Edinburgh Military Tattoo – Celebrating 60 Years of Valour, Mateship and Glory.
The ADF supported the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Sydney in 2005, and Defence is proud to be part of the 2010 tattoo, alongside participants from many other nations.
The Tattoo is televised in 30 countries and 100 million people are expected to see the event on television worldwide.
