The personnel drawn from 1st Brigade units and the wider ADF will deploy as the 1st Combined Team Uruzgan (CTU 1) Mentoring Task Force 2 (MTF 2), Timor Leste Task Group 2 (TLTG 2), Security Detachment 17 (SecDet 17) and the Force Communication Unit 4 (FCU 4).
The deployments will see the soldiers serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, East Timor and the Middle East Area of Operations.
This parade was the final chance to farewell these Task Forces before they start leaving Darwin and begin their deployment and represents a rare opportunity to see so many 1st Brigade soldiers parading at one time.
