No 75SQN Memorial Garden at RAAF Base Tindal

On 2 August 1990, a mid-air collision between two No. 75 Squadron (75SQN) F/A-18 Hornets (A21-029 and A21-042) resulted in the tragic death of the then Commanding Officer (CO), Wing Commander (WGCDR) Ross Fox.

To recognise the 20th anniversary of this tragic accident, 75SQN hosted a commemorative service at the newly constructed Memorial Garden at RAAF Base Tindal.

The day consisted of the awarding of the Wing Commander Ross Fox Award for Excellence which will be presented annually to the most outstanding member of 75SQN, the dedication of the memorial, and the planting of a Boab tree by Wing Commander Fox's widow Viki.
