Operation Pakistan Assist II Loading AusAID emergency relief stores into RAAF C-17

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is working closely with other government agencies as part of the whole of Australian Government response to the United Nations appeal for assistance for the victims of the Pakistan floods.

The ADF will airlift $1 million worth of AusAID emergency relief stores through two RAAF C-17 Globemaster flights.

The AusAID stores included tents, tarpaulins and plastic sheeting, and water purification equipment to help more than 10,000 families. There were also generators, birthing kits and water containers.

Defence stands ready to meet Australian Government direction in support of our friends in Pakistan.
