Defence Chiefs sign the Regional Level Agreement for Regional Health Services
As part of the enhancement and reform of Defence Healthcare, Regional Level Agreements (RLAs) have been introduced as a clear way of outlining who has responsibility for providing health services across Australia. RLAs remove ambiguity on what exactly will and will not be provided, and will specify the mutual requirements for all parties involved with the delivery of health care.
The signing of the RLA for Regional Health Services between the Vice Chief of the Defence Force, Chief of Navy, Chief of Army, Chief of Air Force and Deputy Secretary of Defence Support took place on Thursday, 29 July 2010, marking another milestone in the improvement in the administration and delivery of Defence health services and programs.
