Australian Indonesian Coordinated Patrol

A closing ceremony was held at HMAS Coonawarra to mark the completion of the inaugural Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) coordinated maritime security patrol (AUSINDO CORPAT) which targeted illegal maritime activity.

The coordinated maritime security patrol was designed to mutually enhance maritime security in both countries' waters and to jointly address shared maritime security threats. The task groups were synchronised by close communication between Headquarters Northern Command in Darwin and Sea Command Headquarters in Surabaya.
