ADFA 26th Birthday celebrations

The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), Australia’s premier institution for the training of the future leaders of the Navy, Army and Air Force, celebrated its 26th birthday today, in lieu of the official date of 2 April.

To commemorate the occasion, a breakfast and a cake cutting ceremony was held in the Academy Cadet’s Mess.

The Vice Chief of the Defence Force, Lieutenant General David Hurley, Commander Joint Education, Training and Warfare, Rear Admiral James Goldrick, as well as the Commandant of ADFA, Commodore Bruce Kafer, were in attendance.

Attending the Birthday breakfast at ADFA included; Warrant Officer Marty Lawrence, Rear Admiral James Goldrick, Officer Cadet (OCDT) Amy Sturrock, Lieutenant General David Hurley, OCDT James McKew, OCDT Cain Taylor, Midshipman Sarah McDonaugh and Commodore Bruce Kafer.
