RAAF Base Townsville showcased over 40 aircraft from the Royal Australian Air Force, the Australian Army and civilian aircraft from around Australia at the 2009 Open Day. The USAF Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron was a highlight of the day, with 8 F-16 aircraft on display.
