Thunderbirds Visit To Childrens Ward
Friday 25th September 2009, member’s of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds visit the Children’s Ward at Townsville Hospital.
The Thunderbirds, currently in Townsville as distinguished participants in the Australian Defence Force Air Display, will be performing at the Strand on September 26.
The visit, hosted by the Townsville Hospital Foundation, provided the unique opportunity for seriously ill children to meet and talk with member’s of the squadron.
Associated media also attend the event and the children were happy to receive special show bags presented to them from the Royal Australian Air Force and Thunderbirds team members.
