ASLAVs carrying SECDET soldiers regularly leave ‘the Cove’ on escort tasks and sustainment runs to Baghdad International Airport (BIAP).
The Cove is home to the heart of the SECDET team. SECDET infantry also provide security for the Australian embassy in Baghdad.
