Exercise Northern Trident 2009 Canberra Sisters
HMAS Sydney and HMAS Ballarat are currently on the first leg of Northern Trident 2009, a world wide deployment aimed at supporting Government of Australia priorities in selected Western European, North American, and Asian countries.

Canberra sisters Vanessa and Rebecca Florance will travel the world together with the Navy as part of Northern Trident 2009. Seaman Communication Information Systems (SMNCIS) Rebecca Florance is sailing onboard HMAS Sydney whilst older sister Seaman Steward (SMNSTD) Vanessa Florance sails onboard HMAS Ballarat.
