Secretary's Fellowship
The fellowship encourages and supports innovative research that will benefit Defence.
Irena has been working with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation for nearly ten years, particularly on the human dimensions of warfare.
The 12 month fellowship will allow Irena to focus full-time on her PhD, which she began with Monash University in 2006. She will examine the ability of the Australian Defence Force to transition between an inert and active state.
