Defence supports flood stricken Ingham
Following a request from Emergency Management Queensland, Defence provided emergency support to flood-affected residents in the Ingham region. This support involved the provision of more than 4,500 ration packs. The 24-hour ration packs were airlifted to Ingham throughout the day utilising Royal Australian Air Force Caribou aircraft from No 38 Squadron, based at RAAF Base Townsville. A Black Hawk helicopter from the 5th Aviation Regiment also assisted in the successful completion of the task.
