Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force Two

Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force Two (MRTF2) is due to commence operations in mid 2009, as part of the ongoing stabilisation and rehabilitation of Afghanistan. MRTF2 will continue the success of Australia’s previous reconstruction efforts, including the provision of mentoring and liaison support to the Afghan National Army. MRTF2 will also continue to work on schools, health and Afghan Government facilities.

The Australian effort in Southern Afghanistan is advancing the interests of the people of Uruzgan and the ADF is continuing to make a significant contribution to a secure and stable Afghanistan.
