Mission Rehearsal is no mission impossible

The Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRE) for SECDET XV – the 15th rotation of the Security Detachment in Baghdad – was held in Townsville during March and April 2009.

The MRE involved around 100 soldiers preparing for the Baghdad based security detachment drawn from infantry, cavalry, military police and Combat Service Support. SECDET provides support to the Australian Embassy in Iraq in order to facilitate the conduct of the Australian Diplomatic Mission.
