Recovery of Crashed Lockheed Hudson A16-126
Operation Kovi Moses was conducted to search for the remains of the crew of RAAF Hudson A16-126.
On 11 February 1942, one of a formation of three RAAF Hudson bombers, was intercepted by Japanese fighters, while attacking Japanese shipping at Gasmata Harbour, New Britain, Papua New Guinea. An A16-126 was listed as "lost by enemy action".
