Navy assets join with New Zealand for exercise

In waters off the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand, HMAS MANOORA is participating in the New Zealand-led exercise JOINT KIWI 08, aimed at improving interoperability between both nations.
During Joint Kiwi 08, Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces will conduct amphibious beach landings and withdrawals, designed to increase joint preparation between for emergency disaster releif and peacekeeping.
