Warbirds over Wanaka International Air Show

26 March 2008

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) has deployed several aircraft to New Zealand for the annual Warbirds over Wanaka International Air Show, plus training and public display appearances.

A pair of No.6 Squadron F-111C strike jets have been operated at Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Base Ohakea on North Island, supported by a No.36 Squadron C-17 Globemaster III.

The aircraft were then deployed to Christchurch Airport for the Easter weekend whilst appearing at Warbirds over Wanaka Air Show 2008.
