Exercise Jabiru

Exercise Jabiru was held during February 2008. The exercise was conducted out of RAAF Base Tindal where a contingent of F-111 aircraft, from No. 1 Squadron, were deployed.
The aim of the deployment was to conduct upgrade training for aircrew, provide currency training opportunities in dropping unguided and laser guided high explosive ordnance and conduct Night Vision Goggles training.
The Exercise also afforded Maintenance, Logistics and Administration personnel the opportunity to plan and execute a full Squadron deployment, generating a full flying program from a remote base.
